The Gift of Art

I've been collecting art for a long time and I have a number of pieces that relate to the epidemic.

From time to time people send things to me, and one recent gift was from Dr. Sean Murphy, who is a therapist and was at Trillium Health in 2014. He’s a friend and a colleague and quite an accomplished artist and author.

He recently sent these three pieces to be hung at Trillium. The work is called Queer Triptych.

What I like about it is the energy and the color. Great broad brush strokes.

We decided to hang the pieces in our behavioral health department. We put them up in the office used by our psychiatry residents. The artwork makes a splash in the room, and the pieces are something for our clients and our staff to look at and think about what the work means to them.

Each of these is a wonderful piece, and finally placed together they really are something special for our patients and staff.

Sean, I thank you for your talent, your friendship, for being a colleague and staying in touch all these years.

And thank you for this beautiful gift.
