Halloween Trick Turns into Tribute Treat

If you hang around long enough, it's almost as though you become a parody of yourself.

As I continue to go through material for upcoming AIDS archive at the University of Rochester library, I found some interesting photos that I've accumulated.

Some jokesters thought the two figurines looked Bill Valenti as a young doctor and in his more seasoned years. Provided by Dr. Bill Valenti

People gave me little figurines of a doctor, thinking that they looked like me.

But one spoof that I liked the most is from Halloween 2019, just before the pandemic.

One of our PrEP staff, Dennis Adey, dressed up as me.

He sat at my desk, drinking coffee, with his feet out, dispensing advice. My stuff is all around.

He even re-created my name badge.

It was one of the funniest times I had in recent memory.

Dennis left Trillium, but I’m proud to say he is now a project manager for PrEp at the Fenway Institute in Boston.

Nice work, Dennis.

And Happy Halloween.
